Install updates at next reboot

I searched, but didn’t seem to be able to find anything regarding this. I’m missing a feature to be able to install updates to a server automatically on next reboot. When updating firmware on blade servers though e1000 encloses there is an option to do it on next reboot. I would Really like this feature in OME as well.

I thought I read somewhere that the new version of OME would include this, but I just updated to 2.0.1.2222, and I still don’t see the feature anywhere.

Hi and thanks for the post.

I believe you can achieve this by unchecking “After update, if required, reboot the device” check box in the update wizard. That will stage the update but will not apply it till the server is rebooted.  Can you see if you have that checkbox on your version?

Thanks,

Rob

It did in fact install the updates at next reboot. :)

However it took OME a while to understand that the updates had been installed even though i manually performed discovery an Inventory after the update.
