OME - DSM Essentials Network Monitor service terminated unexpectedly
We have been running OME for a few months now and we are now seeing in the windows event log the following error..
Application Event Log :
The description for Event ID 0 from source Essentials Services cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
A scheduled status poll has not been started because a status poll is already in progress. If this condition continues, it is recommended that you increase the status poll interval time. Scheduled time: 08/21/12 15:04:02. The following managed devices are still undergoing a status poll:
System Event Log :
The DSM Essentials Network Monitor service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 39 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 300000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
and in application itself we are also seeing an SQL insert into error

Hi Jody,
Thanks for your post. From the log entry, it does look like the previous status poll cycle was not completed. How many devices are you monitoring with OME? There is recommended hardware configuration table in the user guide which will guide you through the configuration based on number of monitored devices.
You can go to Manage->Discovery and Inventory and select Status Configuration from the left pane. In the resulting popup window, move the status polling slider all the way to the left. You can do the same for Discovery and Inventory schedule sliders.
