I was never able to get the prerequisite check to detect them either. As long as you verified the existence of C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\rac5, you are good to go. Reboot your computer then browse the directory structure of the install bundle to find OMEs main installation executable, run and install. I'm not sitting in front of my computer right now or I would tell you the name of the executabe; I just don't remember off top of my head.
I want to migrate the OME 1.2.1 with local SQL2008 R2 SP1/SP2 database (windows server 2008 R2 standard version 64 bits):
Same issue for me ... two pre requisites conditions (DRAC tools and SQL Server) are in red ...
I have setup this two conditions from the prerequisites panel, and/or directly from tree directories successfully, and the "rescan dependencies" process didn't detect that they has been setup (same thing after server reboot).
Impossible to continue the OME process installation ...
2. After rebooting, browse the installer folder structure to the path "\windows\ManagementStation" and run Essentials.msi. Make sure to click the custom install radio button so you can specify your SQL server.
As the README.TXT in OME Tree : \Windows\ManagementStation\PreReqChecker\README.TXT said, i haven't found any relative registry keys described below :
Extract from the readme.txt file :
"
Additionally, The results of the Prerequisite Checker are written to the registry under the main registry key for the Management Station: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Dell Computer Corporation\OpenManage\PreReqChecks\MS
and under the main registry key for the Managed System: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Dell Computer Corporation\OpenManage\PreReqChecks\MN
Each feature has an associated value set after running the prerequisite check, they are the same values as those returned by RunPreReqChecks.exe. "

Server 2012 is 64-bit. I installed the version of DRAC tools that came with the OME installer. I also tried the version of DRAC tools located here - http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=hr1v5.

Hi,
Thanks for your post. OME looks for 32 bit version of DRAC tools. Can you verify if the version you installed is 64 bit or 32 bit?

Thanks for the update. It's better to open a support ticket in that case at 800-945-3355
They can take a look at the issue and gather the logs.

Abhijit

I am experiencing the same problem as well.
OpenManageEssentials_1_2_A00 and I have both RAC and BMC PreReqs installed and appearing in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\rac5\racadm.exe"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\bmc\ipmitool.exe"
I have rebooted the server and they appear in the path but the Setup program still does not detect them.

I was able to get this to work even though the prerequisite check was failing with a Red X on DRAC tools and SQL. This is how I did it.
1. Install DRAC tools found at http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=hr1v5.
2. After rebooting, browse the installer folder structure to the path "\windows\ManagementStation" and run Essentials.msi. Make sure to click the custom install radio button so you can specify your SQL server.

Hi there and thanks for the question...
We are getting the latest version of DRAC from msi & comparing with the version installed.
so if, for eg:Drac folder is missing/corrupted, even drac tools are installed, it will always show as critical.
A few ideas:
(or)
Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the suggestion Rob.
I followed those steps and still didn`t detect DRAC Tools, so what I did was:
- uninstall DRAC tools (altough the installed one was latest version already)
- download OM Essentials 1.2 (latest version), as first I was using a preverious version
- install DRAC tools from new kit
- launched essentials.msi from admin prompt
Now Open Manage Essentials is working on my VM.
Thanks!
