Hi, thanks for giving OME a try.

The TS tool is installed on your OME desktop by default.  Take a look and you should see it there.  Also if you go into the OME preferences, you can 'enable' the right-click TS option by a checkbox.  It is turned off by default since it uses ActiveX which some folks like to be aware of due to security policies in their organization.

The device health can be tracked a few ways:

1. The portal page has two pie charts.  One is for device health (generally reported by OMSA).  The other is for SNMP alerts that have come in for devices.  Both of these can be used to keep an eye on hardware failures.

2. The device tree will show a list of devices under each category (e.g., servers, printers, etc.).  If there is a failure, the health is reflected in the device icon and rolled up to the top node (server, printer, etc.).  From there you can often right-click and go into OMSA or the element manager for the swtich, printer, tape, etc.

3. The Alert console (Manage Alerts) will show you a list of SNMP traps that have been sent to the console.  If you have configured your server or device to send h/w traps to OME, these will show up.

4. Finally, for servers, some people use "SEL" logs (system event logs).  You can look at these by clicking on the server and then the hotlink for Hardware Logs on the right side.

Hope this helps!

Rob
