435MT w/ Realtek Sound Issue
Hi, just recieved my 435MT yesterday. I hooked up my old Altec Lansing ada 995. (My only sound) and thats when I noticed a slight static. It almost seems as if it increases when the harddrive is used. Static really doesn't describe it, as it is more like a small buzzing with some random high pitched tones as if there is interference.
I did not have this problem on my old Dimension 8200 system with a Sound Blaster soundcard.
I ordered a Creative Xi-Fi PCI express sound card, and it should be here in a couple of days.
Any help would be appreciated.

Check the sound with headset plugged into the front headset jack and then the GREEN speaker jack on the rear and see if you also get the "noise". One possible source is the "Sound Enhancements" - this is a known problem area and disable any sound enhancements.
