4600 will not boot to XP since uninstalling HP6122 software

Since uninstalling the HP 6122 software on a 4600 the boot stops at checkpoint USBd and goes to blank screen.

 

Any ideas or do I reinstall Windows from the CD?

Does not look like a windows error, does it come up before the windows screen?

 

try:

  1. Flee Power (Disconnect Power, Hold Power button 10 Seconds, Release, Plug power back in)
  2. Changing the USB emulation in the BIOS
  3. Reset BIOS Defaults

Thanks, I have managed to solve the problem by booting from the XP CD and then I was able to to a restore from an earlier date.

 

The problem showed up before the Windows screen. After the initial MS screen the screen went black and nothing else happened.

 

Anyway it seems I am ok again now, thanks again for the ideas.
