9 pin connector
I have a gps with a 9 pin interface cable. My new inspiron 2600 has a 15 pin connector and the 25 pin? I bought an adapter for the 15 pin but now I get a message on my gps program that an internal modem is all ready using that port or something. What do I do? Thanks James

Your adapter has me baffled -- the video connector is no substitute for a serial port!
Just looked up the Inspiron 2600 spec -- it doesn't have a serial port connector. You will have to get a USB-based serial port adapter.
