ACS495 ALTEC LANSING SPEAKER SYSTEM
I have the above speaker system (speakers with subwoofer) from an older Dell Dimension. I just purchased a new Dimension 4700 with Windows XP and was told this speaker system would work with it. There are no drivers for the subwoofer in the new system. Are there drivers available or speaker software that will make this work?

Normally, there are no drivers needed for 2.1 Analog speakers. Just make sure you have the correct speaker type set in the Control Panel.
2.1 speaker systems only have one (green) connection to the sound card. Everything else is connected internally in the speaker system.
