Adding 16GB to brand new XPS 8900

Haven't yet opened my new (just delivered) XPS8900. It was ordered withb16GB of RAM and have ordered 16 more of RAM for a total of 32GB.

My question is should I set up the computer first, get it running and then the install the extra memory?  Or install the extra memory before setting it up for the first time???

Thanks in advance!!!

It should be just fine to install the RAM after the fact. The BIOS should detect the change and configure it accordingly. Windows may just display a message about RAM and the Windows Experience Index.

Thank you so much for responding to my question. I'll take your advice get it running, set everything up and install the memory banks. Start it back up and confirm the new memory was detected.

Thank you again.
