Alert! Air temperature sensor not detected: Optiplex 745 motherboard (minitower version)
Hi :smileyhappy:
I just bought an Optiplex 745 motherboard on Ebay and i have the error mentionned in the subject.
this motherboard is actually fitted in an Optiplex 210L minitower case.
All is working fine, but the processor fan is a true plane! :smileyindifferent:
i look into Dell doc and apparently, the temperature sensor is ON the Pcb of the Frontpanel. (is it sure?)
And if someone can confirm this, the Dell MJ047 Front I/O panel is the good one ?
Best regards,Ray

Hi :)
thanks ejn63 for your response.
Yes, it's the Dell OEM fan, with the 4 wire, from the 210L minitower Case.
i only change the mobo and the burner (because the mobo have only onboard sata connector)
A little precision, perhaps this one can help you to solve this prob :
The log into the bios say: Out of range
I cross my finger and hope someone can help to fix that !
Best regards,ray

Hi, I have similar issue (Alert! Air temperature sensor not detected), it came up just after this weekend, when I cleaned the inside of my pc.
Have tried to unplug/replug the fan, reset, power off, etc etc. but the error keeps getting up when rebooted.
I guess the only thing that will solve this is placing a new (original) Dell fan (with temperature sensor) in the machine.
How to I obtain a new (used but still working is also OK) Dell fan for my machine? I have a Dell Optiplex 755
