Altec-Lansing ACS340 Speakers
I want to install Altec-Lansing ACS340 speakers from my old Dell XPS T500 to my Dell Dimension 8200 with XP Pro OS. Can I do this? I can't seem to find an appropriate driver download. Any suggestions?

Naibar,
The ACS 340 speakers do not have a driver. With the computer and speakers turned off, plug them into the output jack on your sound card and turn the computer and speakers on. I would recommend having the volume turned low to start with until you can set it.
Also, check your windows volume control for master volume, wav, cd, midi, etc settings to make sure they are not too low, too high, or muted.

Geeeeeeeez, wish I came across your post a few days ago, thanks very much for helping out. What really threw me for a loop is I have a floppy disk that says it is a Sound Blaster Creative Drivers disk and I assumed it went with the ACS 340 speakers, not so. I mistakenly plugged the computer input into the microphone slot and not the speaker slot, and assumed it was a driver issue.
