BIOS Dead, no boot after power on

We were flasing the BIOS on our Dimension 2350 and the power went out. After that it would power on but not run POST or boot to any device. Apparently the BIOS is now gone! What if anything can I do to get the BIOS reinstated or is the MB hosed? Thanks for any info Dell tech support is no help as I do not think they understand that the PC does not boot up. Bob Blaney

Having the power go out while flashing the BIOS is the one thing you don't want to happen, as has been stated over and over again on these forums.  It usually results in corruption of the BIOS and the only remedy is to replace the motherboard.  You can try clearing NVRAM to see if that brings it back, but if it doesn't, it means the BIOS is hosed and you need a new motherboard.  To clear NVRAM on the 2350,  see the following:

If the machine still fails to boot after clearing the NVRAM (CMOS) then strip the motherboard down to the bare minimum.  By bare minimum I mean remove all expansion cards, disconnect all drives and leave just the processor, memory and graphics card (if installed) in the machine.  Also disconnect all cords from the rear of the machine except for the power cord.  If the machines still fails to boot up then your motherboard has been trashed by the interrupted BIOS upgrade.  If your system is still under warranty then I would contact Dell to see if they will cover repairs.
