BIOS does not allow booting of LSI Logic ATA RAID controller
With no other bootable devices being used, the BIOS is not letting me boot to the LSI LOGIC RAID Controller
If I have a bootable device, such as CDROM or floppy, it just boots to it and does not give me a choice for the RAID Controller, even in the BOOT MENU.
If I boot via CD, I can install drivers in TEXT SETUP MODE for the card, the OS sees the controller, I install to a parition I create, but then cannot boot to it once all the files are copied to it and the Dimension reboots. Back to square 1.
BIOS version is A05, latest on Dell site.
I would like to be able to configure the BIOS to allow a full post, enumerating all devices in the system and their BIOS, or at least allow me to select other bootable devices like my RAID Controller.

Thanks for the tip. Problem is I never get to the part to hit CTRL-M to enter the RAID controller's setup. In the BIOS POST, the Dell 2400 tries its boot devices and then either can boot, or does not.
I actually connected the 2 HDs and controller into another workstation (an old athlon 500 with Award BIOS) and was able to configure it and saw it is selected to be bootable.
Put the configuration back into the Dell 2400, same problem. Booted from CD to load Windows 2003, saw the controller (with drivers from floppy on F6), performed the text mode install, then when the workstation wen to reboot, same problem...does not see the LSILOGIC RAID Controller as a bootable device.
This is ultra frustrating and any possible solutions are welcome.
