BSOD Stop Error! Please Help!

I have a Dell Demesion 3000 desktop running Windows XP Home SP3.

The last time the computer was running fine I recieved a dialog box asking for the Windows install CD because I was missing something. The problem  is I don't remember what and I closed out of the box. I believe it was about my CD drive. I then restarted my computer only to recieve the BSOD with an error code of

0x0000007B (0xF789E524 0xC0000034 0x00000000 0x00000000)

After reading some forums I decidid to do a Repair install. Now when I boot my computer I recieve yet another BSOD with the error code of

C000021a (0xc0000094 0x75b6be28 0x006AFBF4.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't believe a repair reinstall will work since you have SP3 installed and your CD is an older version. I think you will have to reinstall XP. This may help - http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

After receiving the BSOD and determining there was corruptions on my old hard drive, I removed it and my second drive and installed a new WD drive(1TB).  I then used the Dell XP Home Edition SP 2 to reinstall the OS to this new drive.  Everything seemed to work fine and after formatting the new drive last night, finished the installation this morning.  I came back 20 minutes later to another BSOD with

STOP: 0X0000007B (0XF789E524, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

After a bit of reading, it seems that possibly I need drivers for the hard drive?  I am at a loss of what to do now.  Is there a place on Dell to download these drivers, asi ti seems that they are controlled by the MB manufacturer.

This is a Dell Dimension 8400.

and the blue screen C000021a is related to bad Operating system(XP) or hard drive.

Hi,

First of all Dimension 3000 does not support hard drive more than 160GB, Second - Harddrive does not need any driver, the bluse screen which you are getting 0x7B is either related to harddrive or memory, if you have more than one memory card installed in the system first try using the comp with one memory and if it work try the same with the second memory module and also check the memory slots to see how to reseat the memory here -->

If you have a dimension 8400 then you can connect your old harddrive back and turn on the system and when you see a blue coloured DELL Logo start tapping F2 key on the keyboarrd and you will enter bios, then using your arrow keys go down to drives and hit enter, under drives highlight and hit enter on sata operation and on the right side you will get options Raid auto/AHCI, Raid auto/ATA Raid on, Combo.

Except for raid on select any one option and hit enter and press ESC, select save exit and it will reboot the system, if you get the bluescreen try any other option but don't select RAID ON.
