C521-No Sound Device?

I'm told "software/drivers can't be installed because there's no sound device." I Have re-installed the nVidia GeForce 6150LE drivers. I've gone through everything in device manager-to my knowledge- too. I see I have; SIGMA TEL 9227 CODEC (7.1 CHANNEL AUDIO) It's integrated. There's also this info: STAC 92xxC-Mjr. HD A02 driver. It's got: AMD Athlon 62x2 dual core. Please help, James

For XP this is the correct driver for your integrated audio:

I would suggest going into your device manager and opening up the system devices tab. There is a bus driver that needs to be installed in order for your operating system to find your onboard integrated sound. after that install that driver but im thinking that as soon as you install the bus driver your computer will find it and immediately have sound.
