Cannot access BIOS on XPS 8300

When I start my 8300 it never shows the Dell logo screen so I never have the opprotunity to press the F2 key to invoke the BIOS screen.  I'm trying to change the boot order so I can boot from a CD inorder to do a system restore.  BIOS is up-to-date.

Are you saying it doesn't boot at all or that it goes directly to your Windows desktop?

Have you tried powering on and immediately start tapping F2 (don't hold it down) to see if that gets you into BIOS setup?

EDIT: What version of Windows?

Rohe, thanks for the suggestion.  After many, many tries, I finally found the "sweet spot" and was able to get the BIOS screen by doing exactly whaqt you said.  It took quite a long time because most of time it would go directly to launching Windows.  Thanks again.

When I said to tap F2 "immediately", I meant "immediately". :emotion-4:
