sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my previous post, but I did try using the buttons on the side of the monitor and brightess cannot be changed there, only the volume can be
I am having this same issue. However, when I attempt to install the downloaded video driver I get this message: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Any ideas?
Thanks for the tutorial, but alas, it did not work for me.
All that happens for me now is the menu will pop up, but nothing happens when i try to adjust brightness. The slider bar doesn't move when I press the up or down buttons.

Dell Optiplex 9010 All-in One.
Windows 7, Service Pack 1. 32 bit.
edit: I just realized that you linked to the 64 bit display driver. I found the 32 bit version and it installed fine.

Do you have any other words of wisdom?
