Hi ManchesterIT,

Thank you for the response. Please try the following steps and let me know the outcome.

First of all, update the BIOS of the computer to the latest version from the following link http://dell.to/16HPpti

Please see Update your Dell PC's BIOS in 99 Seconds

Now, perform a clean re-installation of the video drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (open run window, type devmgmt.msc).
  • Expand Display Adapters, right click and uninstall Intel graphics driver
  • From the drop down menu, select “Uninstall”.
  • Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Then check for the Video drivers in Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs, uninstall the driver, if any.
  • Restart the computer
  • Now re-install the latest drivers from the following link http://dell.to/1bOZInf
  • Restart the computer and check the functionality.

Once the video drivers are updated, download and install OSD application from the following link http://dell.to/19bvlkf

Hi ManchesterIT,

First of all, press the third button on the right hand side. Pressing this button will show the Menu Selection to Brightness / Volume Control. Choose the brightness option and try changing the settings.

I am having this same issue. However, when I attempt to install the downloaded video driver I get this message: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Any ideas?

Dell Optiplex 9010 All-in One.

Windows 7, Service Pack 1. 32 bit.

edit: I just realized that you linked to the 64 bit display driver. I found the 32 bit version and it installed fine.

Hi there,

Thanks for the tutorial, but alas, it did not work for me.

All that happens for me now is the menu will pop up, but nothing happens when i try to adjust brightness.  The slider bar doesn't move when I press the up or down buttons.

Do you have any other words of wisdom?
