Change Hot Key association on Dell keyboard

Question

System is a 4600 running WinXP SP2. I'm using the original Dell Enhanced Multimedia keyboard. There is a Hot Key button on the upper right that opens the Calculator (assume it's a WinXp applet). Microsoft has a newer Calculator ap named Calculator Plus (free) which I have downloaded and installed. I would like to change the Hot Key association to open the new calculator as opposed to the older one. I know how to change shortcut key paths but can't seem to find any info anywhere on Dell's site (especially in the documentation for this keyboard) on how to change this Hot Key. E chatted with Dell tech support and he wanted me to download some software for a Logitech Cordless keyboard! Little leery about that.

There must be a registry hack to change this association. Any help appreciated.

Check Control Panel, Keyboard, Key settings. Dell doesn't make any keyboards, just puts their name on other manufacturers KB. Look on the bottom to see if yours is marked. If it's MS, install Intellitype software available at the Microsoft site.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, there is no identification on the bottom of the KB other then Dell. Checking Control Panel>Keyboard I have no option for key settings. Any chance the KB was manufactured by Logitech and the suggested Logitech software might work?

No, I haven't found anything from Dell or any other information that indicates who actually manufactures the keyboard or how to change the hot key association. I've ended up just assigning a macro keyboard shortcut to open the new Calculator
