Change jumper settings in Optiplex 3010
Hi, I want to put a low profile ASUS Radeon R7 240 video card in my Dell Optiplex 3010. When I fit it do I have to make any changes like moving jumpers or whatever or will it just take over the video job by itself?

Hi Stevespear,
No need to change those Jumpers or reset your NVRAM, the system should detect a hardware change automatically. A few things to note when adding hardware such as a video card is to make sure the ‘resources’ are available to use the hardware, Is the power supply of a high enough voltage to function with an add in card / is there physically enough room in the system to allow installation.
If compatible, the hardware should be recognized by the systems BIOS and on power up, after the correct drivers are installed, Usable in Windows.
