Ctrl-i does not work when trying to enter into RAID Configuration Utility
I am using a DELL Dimension E520 with a twin drive installed. I would like to install Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin). I was advised to use RAID 1 (mirroring) and am trying to enter the RAID Configuration Utility.
In System Setup Options under the heading Drives, I changed the SATA operations from 'Autodetect' to 'RAID on'. When starting the computer, I now get the following displayed:
QUOTE
RAID Volumes:
None defined.
Physical Disks:
Port Drive Model Serial # Size Type/Status
0 .................... ....... 149.0GB Non-RAID Disk
1 .................... ....... 149.0GB Non-RAID Disk
Press to enter Configuration Utility...

Ctrl-i, however, will not work. I studied forums and found that maybe Ctrl-g or Ctrl-m might work instead. I tried all without success. I tried also F1-F12 and Ctrl- F1-F12. I read in a forum that changing the keyboard might help and tried without to exchange my (new) Logitec keyboard with an hp-keyboard which also did not help.
Any suggestions? All hints welcome.
Many thanks

The answer is simple: Type Ctrl-shift-i to enter. Works fine.

Many thanks SpeedStep for giving attention to my problem and for the link to the manual.
Are you suggesting that I revert the System Setup Options to 'Autodetect/ATAdefault'? This was the original setting which I changed to 'RAID on'.
Reason for my change from 'Autodetect/ATAdefault' to 'RAID on' was the fact that with 'Autodetect/ATAdefault' Ubuntu was treating the two drives as separate drives and not as mirrored ones. Therefore, I changed the RAID options to 'RAID on' and was expecting to get a prompt for the RAID Configuration Utility, which worked fine:
After System Set-Up before loading the operating system my screen displays the following:

I was under the impression that now I would need enter RAID Configuration Utility in order to change the RAID configuration. However, I do not succeed in doing so. I understand from you that CTRL-i does not work with the default ('Autodetect/ATAdefault'). However, after changing SATA controller to 'RAID on', I was expecting to obtain access to the RAID Configuration Utility. Since the screen tells me that ' ' should do the trick, I was hoping for success, albeit in vain. Do you have any suggestions or am I wrong from the very beginning?
Any hint is welcome!
