DELL XPS 9100, Sata interface?

Question

Hi,

I want to buy a SSD that it need SATA III (seems faster than SATA II),

so I want to know the sata interface version of my xps 9100 desktop that I just bought one week ago.

The motherboard is: Dell 05DN3X

CPU: Core i7-930 @ 2.8GHz

Append: I mean does this motherboard support SATA 6.0GB/s (SATA III)?

We sell the PC with SATA 3 hard disk drives, so the support is on the motherboard. But, we do not sell the PC with SSD drives so I cannot say 100% that it will work.

The real question is : Will a SATA III hard drive installed on the XPS 9100 run at the full 6 MB/ sec or only at 3 MB / sec ? The specs on XPS 9100 SATA ports are not described clearly. Can you clarify? NJ
