Dell Dimension 4700 Ram Upgrade

I have one quick question guys, I'm aware that the DD 4700 uses DDR2 ram up to 4gb, but is there a limit to how fast the ram can be?

The original specs for the 4700 call for PC2-3200 (DDR2-400MHz) or PC2-4300 (DDR2-533MHz).  You can usually go one or two steps faster than the "supported" RAM (667MHz or possibly 800MHz).  Crucial states they guarantee their PC2-5300 (DDR2-667MHz) will work.  I would recommend using one of these three speeds.

Thank you very much Flash, this was helpful as i was scared to either overheat my computer with the extra speed or waste money on non-compatible ram.
