Dell Dimension 5100 - Diagnostic Light "4" And Flashing Cursor
Hi,
A few hours ago, I took out the GPU that was inside the machine [8600GT] to connect another GPU [7600GT] to see if it was working or not (I was having a clear-out and getting rid of old stuff laying around.) Nothing happened on screen, so I took out the GPU and put back in the 8600GT. When I tried to start up the machine, the following happens:
1) Diagnostics Light 4 Stays Solid
2) Solid Green Power Light
3) Flashing Cursor On Screen - No Bios or Dell Logo
I tried to google around, and I also checked the documentation from Dell, but on the Diagnostics lights section, no mention of a single "4" light on its own is shown. Any ideas? Please don't forget, the system does not show the dell logo, or anything to do with Bios. Just a simple blinking cursor on screen.
Thanks.

Power the PC off, open the case cover, remove/reseat the video card in the slot.
* Power the PC off
* Disconnect the PC power cord from the rear of the PC
* Remove the computer cover
* Move the RTCRST (Clear CMOS) jumper from pins 1/2 and place it on pins 2/3
* Press the PC power button
* Move the jumper back to pins 1/2
* Remove/reseat the video card in the slot
* Replace the power cord and cover and then power the PC on
