Dell Dimension 8400 blower fan
Hi
Any one got any imfo on the above, started making loud noises and have had trouble locating replacment

Which fan are you referring to? The CPU cooling fan? or the fan in the power supply? The CPU cooling fan is a Dell proprietary fan and you need to replace it with a new Dell fan. The Dell fan has additional electronics and if a non-Dell fan is used you will always get a "Fan Failure" at boot up and will have to press F1 to continue.
If it's the fan in the power supply, best to just replace the power supply, which is a standard ATX power supply.
HERE is the Dell parts web page, you should be able to get a replacement fan there. If not have you tried a google search?
