Dell Inspiron 531S Start up screen
When I "start" from a "shut down" or "restart" I get a black screen with white lettering about PC specs. At the lower left is "F1 to Reboot". Press F1 and I get the welcome screen OK. How can I avoid the black screen and go directly to the Welcome???

It sounds like you need to go into set up, And turn off your floppy drive! Or any other drive that your computer is trying to boot from?
