Dell Inspiron 560 CPU Upgrade HELP!
I recently bought an Intel Pentium 4 Dual Core 3.2ghz/1m/800 for my Dell Inspiron 560 with motherboard model 018D1Y. I currently have an Intel Celeron 450 right now. I have a 775LGA Socket. When I put the new processor in, the power light stays a steady amber, and will not boot up. I've read that the Intel Pentium 4 Dual Core is compatible. BIOS are the newest version as well. Any help???? Thanks.

Sounds like the 'Intel Pentium 4 Dual Core 3.2ghz/1m/800' is not compatible with the inspiron 560.
Have you tried reinstalling the Celeron 450 and see if the 560 boot's up and run?
What is the sSpec number of the P-4 Dual Core 3.2ghz/1m/800 processor?

I don't think I have heard of a Pentium 4 Dual Core. There are Pentium D's which would probably work, but Pentium 4's will not work and be worse than your Celeron 450 performance wise.
