Dell Optiplex gx520 onboard graphics memory size???
I have a gx520 and I need to know how to increase the onboard video memory size to the full 224mb... here's what the graphics properties shows...
minimum graphics displayed 8mb
total graphics available 224mb
minimum graphics used 9mb
Can anyone who may have this same problem tell me how to increase the size to the full 224mb??? In BIOS, the options are for 1 and 8 mb... what's the point of having 224mb if you can't access it or use it??? Thank you for any info that anyone may have in helping me!!!

The 8M is a fixed frame buffer - not the video RAM. The system will allocate RAM up to the maximum as needed. There's no way to alter the allocation manually.

Hi, I would agree with huskey0894, But also, when it allocates ram, its your system ram that gets hit, thats why your better off with an graphics card with its own ram.
