Many thanks for your reply.  The reason you did not see the Prescott on your list is that Its a Dell Precision 380 and not the 390.  My apologies.  Would appreciate if you could give me a list for the 380.

My friend just purchased a Precision Workstation 390 [Amin Note: Service Tag Removed per TOU policy] from Dell's Online Auction.

Can you please tell me what processor and video card upgrades are possible? According to the specifications, it comes with a JX145, Processor, 6600, 2.4, 4M, Core Duo-conroe, Burn 2. Since I don't see the the CPU listed above, I am unable to ascertain the motherboard model / part #. Will the processors you listed above work with this system as well? Also,  can you suggest what architecture I should look for in a replacement video card?
