Hi guys I've got this monitor yesterday i used both the cables provided by Dell
meaning the Displayport cable for the GPU-Monitor link
and the usb cable to enable the 4 usb ports present
Installed the cd present in the software but those usb ports just refuse to work!
and in my device manager list there 2 "unknown device" with the mark question (which weren't there before I installed the monitor.
I've tried to update the software like Dell suggest but nothing...
Nothing does seems to work.
AM I doing something wrong? do I need another usb cable?
What might be the solution?
my setup is the following
Win 7 ultimate 64bit
I5-6600k
Asus Maximus VIII ranger
4x4gb ddr4 G. Skill 2666mhz
Gtx 1080 Zotac Amp! Extreme edition
Uninstall the two unknown devices in the Device Manager. Disconnect the USB cable from the PC. Restart the PC and after Windows starts connect the cable and see if detects it properly. Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port, not a USB 3.0 port.
I have an ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7 6700K, 16 GB Corsair RAM

tried and nothing but now the unknown device in the device manager is just one
the hardware id is this one : USB\VID_0451&PID_8142&REV_0100
My mistake, the monitor has USB 3.0 port. So, make sure you are using a USB 3.0 port on the PC.
However, there can be issues with USB 3.0 and Windows 7.
If your motherboard has Intel USB 3.0 controller, download the Intel 3.0 drivers for Win 7 and see if that helps.
