Dell keyboard SK# 8135 problems
My wired keyboard (Dell Model # 8135) is not working properly. I have a Dell XPX 210- only a year old. I can be typing along and suddenly it will place
different letters than those I am typing. EG: I click on letter B and letter W appears instead. I thought it was a defecctive keyboard, was still under Dell warranty and received a replacement of the same keyboard ( This was a refurbished keyboard, don't know if the original one was or not, got it with my new pc)
It was suggested that I see if there are any updated drivers for this keyboard... can't find any?
Checked in Device manager: HID Keyboard- Driver Version: 5.1.2600.2825- date is 7/01/01
Shows device is working properly
If I do a restart it will start working properly again for awhile, but then the same thing happens.
Do I need to give up on this keyboard & buy something else? If so, open to recommendations. This may be a ssilly question: But if I were to purchasse a Micrsoft brand keyboard, will driver/software updates for an MS keyboard be available through Microsoft Updates as well?
Thank you for any help you may have.
