Dimension 8400

Hi,

 

I tried to install Vista on my machine, I left during the installation. When I came back the computer was sleeping, I woke it up but the screen remained black, so I forced it to shutdown (yeah bad idea...). Since then, I'm not able to start it, not at all. If I push the start button, there's nothing, no leds. If I unplug and plug the power cable there nothing either.

Have I to change the power supply?

Are there really no indicators (power, diagnostic, motherboard standby led) lit?  If so, a new PSU would be the first thing to try.

do you mean no power at all ? or the system turns on but It wont load to windows?

no power at all, i guess it's either the power supply or the motherboard so i decided to build a new computer with the pieces that still works...
