Dimension L500R audio stops working and Windows 98 won't boot.... Is there a way to disable the sound (integrated) audio?

How can I completely disable the integrated audio on the L500R? Is there a jumper on the motherboard? I didn't see a setting in the BIOS for that. Nothing for Audio under the Peripherals section.

Thanks in advance,

The system noted by the service tag in your profile does not feature integrated audio; a Creative Labs Sound Blaster PCI 64V was factory-installed. If you wish to narrow the problem down to that card, power off and unplug your system, open the case, and remove the card from its PCI slot. Reassemble the system, power it on, and allow Windows to attempt to boot.
