Dual Boot on XPS 630

I am new to this forum so I apologise if I break any rules accidently.  I am taking delivery of my 630 on Monday and it is coming with Vista 32 Home on it and I want to add XP home to it.  Can I use Vista disc management to partition the HDD and shrink the Vista partition, format the unused space and install xp.  I know theres a bit more to it so any advice would be welcome.

Thanks for the promp reply Cademetz.  The problem,as I see it,  with wiping the HDD and starting from scratch is the drivers and the Partition Dell put on the hdd for system restore. I would like to do it that way as I have Vista Home OEM and XP home OEM on discs never used but wouldn't it affect the warranty by removing their restore partition.

I have read that you can do it vista first but the bootloader needs to be tinkered with.

It's easy to put XP on after Vista using these instructions and VistaBootPro. The instructions even explain how to shrink your C partition so you can put XP on a new partition. I've done this before and it works great!
