GX2800
Hi guys,
I have got a GX2800 SFF and it just decide to not work. Error message told me the boot mgr was missing.
I transferred all the info I wanted to another HDD and formatted the drive.
I went to install the OS Win XP and when I turn the PC on it make s a buzzing noise for about 3 or 4 times and then stops. I tried to boot up install disc but nothing is happening.
Has anyone got the slightest idea what is wrong and what I need to do to install the OS please?

Here's your troubleshooting guide. The first thing to check is the diagnostic lights.

Hi Osprey,
Checked the lights and found the memory card was not seated correctly. Push it in and it started OK.
Inserted XP disc and I keep coming up with the error message:
File setupdd.sys could not be loaded.
Error code is 14.
Cannot understand this as I have used the disc several times to re-install the OS.
Any ideas please?
If I make typos it is because I have broken my right wrist and I am having problems typing with my left hand. Sorry.

I would run the Dell diagnostics on your hard drive. You need to boot to your Dell drivers and utilities disc to test your hard drive.
