Hard drive not detected
I have a Dell Inspiron running Windows 7 ultimate, it does not detect my hard drive during normal start up and it does not show up when I run Set Up Utility. I ran diagnostics and it said the same thing but it will start in "Safe Mode" and there the hard drive shows up and I can access it. Anybody have an ideas what is going on.

Is the hard drive detected in BIOS? Please provide the specific error you're getting during boot/diagnostics.
When you say it does not show up in the Setup Utility, do you mean you're unable to see any partitions during installation or does it not initiate at all?
Try 'Last Known Good Configuration' and check if there's any progress there.
