How do I go from NTFS to FAT32?

I assume that u have no data you reqr on the disk you wish to convert. Run Fdisk and select DELETE PARTITION/NON DOS PARTITION/DELETE, then create a new partition whatever size u want. If you need the data, try getting Partition Magic.

Partition Magic 7.0 allows you to do this without loss of data; my experience with PM has been that it lives up to its claims, but I have never tried that conversion. Just make certain you back up all of your data before attempting the conversion, just in case.

I'm not worried about the loss of data since I wan't to make a clean install. I just want a simple way to format back to FAT32. The sites some of you linked me to shows how to go back to FAT32 with the Windows 2000 CD. I don't have that. I just have Win XP Pro and Win ME.

Hi,

Go to my fdisk page and download the boot disk from the link. Or, just use a Win98 floppy boot disk.
Run fdisk and choose to remove the "NON-DOS" partition. When that is done, use fdisk again to create your partitions using the instructions at my site.

I guess I need to add a "Convert NTFS to FAT 32" section to my fdisk page.
What do you think?
