How to add SSD to Optiplex 755 (Small Form Factor)

Hi --

I want to add an SSD boot drive to my Optiplex 755 (Small Form Factor) while retaining the HDD it came with and the slimline optical drive. There is an open SATA port on the motherboard, but there's no open bay and not a lot of room in the chassis (I don't see an open power cable, either).

Anybody know how or if I can add a 2.5-inch SSD to this machine? Would I need a power splitter? And is it even worth the effort to upgrade an Optiplex 755  to Windows 10?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Adding a Drive in the optical bay is possible.  But you cannot run without the original hard drive on the Desktop SFF and USFF models.

You will get an error about the thermal characteristics of the drive.

SSD on SFF or USFF support have a problem due to thermal design.  The hard drive if not recognized will give an error press F1 to continue.

The BIOS errors are;
1. Alert! Rear Fan Failure
2. Alert! Air temperature sensor not detected
3.HDD replacement is not valid, continued use may result in
long term HDD reliability issues, please press f1 if you would
like to continue, and/or call dell for replacement HDD

Strike F1 to continue F2 to run the setup, F5 to run onboard diagnostics
