How to install an Ethernet Controller driver for an Optiplex GX620
I am using a laptop and want to down load the driver for the Ethernet controller. The info I get says to go on line with the GX 620 and download it. I can't do that until I install the driver. I have a USB thumb drive I want to put the driver on and then install it on the Desktop; BUT the laptop is not playing nice and I am not sure how to copy that file after it has been downloaded to my laptop. The laptop is using Windows 7 and Chrome to access the Dell site. Copy and paste doesn't work. Dragging it doesn't do anything and I am frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. THX in advance. OC

Use the Dell FTP Website which has direct download links:
http://downloads.dell.com/published/pages/optiplex-gx620.html
Or install Windows 7 on the Desktop opposed to Windows XP and use the following drivers:

Most such as the Ethernet driver are inbuilt into newer Windows versions.

Burn the driver to a CD and copy it that way.
