How to switch from 115 to 230v without toggle switch? Dimension 3000
My Dimension 3000 desktop does not have a toggle switch to move from 115 to 230 volts. The manual says this switch is not present on all computers. The space where it should be, just below the power supply input jack, has two recesed red dots covered with plastic film, behind which one can faintly make out "115". We are moving to Europe in a month and I am not sure how I can operate my desktop there. Anyone have some suggestions? If I cannot manually switch the input power from 115 to 230, could I accomplish the same thing with a new power supply box? Or am I stuck working off a currency converter? Thanks!

Can the plastic 'flim' be removed, allowing you to toggle between 115v and 230v?
If not, you could replace the power supply with a unit that has the 115v/230v toggle switch.
Most standard generic stock ATX PSU's, with or without the on/off switch and with either a 20-pin or 20 + 4-pin main motherboard connector, can be installed in the 3000.
You should be able to buy the power supply unit from a local computer store or from any online vendor.
Note: There are some power supplies are auto-switching between 115v and 230v.
