Inspiron 20-3052, No post - Screen cycles red, blue, green, white.
I have Dell Inspiron 20-3052 that does not post. Power button stays amber and the screen cycles red, blue, green, white. Other buttons do not do anything or pull up any menu. I checked the power supply and it is getting correct voltage. Is it possible Dell has a factory diag mode the computer is stuck in?

Dear Customers,
Dell is aware that a recent BIOS release (version 3.8.1) for the Inspiron 20 3052 All-in-One has caused some systems to fail to boot. Dell has stopped the push of the affected BIOS version and urges impacted customers to contact Dell Tech Support or on Twitter @DellCares.
Thank you,
Dell Support Team

Check the "BIOS update" mess thread in this forum. The update of last week killed a lot of machines.

Thanks for your reply, the BIOS update issue does seem similar but I did not see anyone that had the colors cycle on the screen.

Hi Jeff,
Sorry to hear about that, fid you happen to run a BIOS update on this system before this happened? Also, can you private message me your Service Tag (please do not post it in the thread).
Best regards,
Brad

Well - not all of my posts are showing up either.
I know of two other Inspiron 20s that bit the dust as soon as the update was applied...

Ditto on all counts
Some of my posts aren't showing up.
Quite a few reports of the latest BIOS update messing up, Inspirons 3052's and 3252's (like mine).

Same here. Called Dell Support they were less than helpful.

Yes - you can cycle ours through the colors by pressing the buttons on the side. Depending on the sequence, it will start cycling....

Thanks for the update regarding the colors on the screen. We're still looking into this, but let me know if anything else changes.

My Inspiron 3052 also got bricked by the recent update, which was performed on Mon May 15th 2017.
It is now cycling red, green, blue and white full screens. Not a single letter appears after powering on the computer.
As I'm reading through all the forums, there will be many many of us having the same issue. This is really serious for Dell's reputations I'd say.
I have tried everything, Ctrl+Escape key combination, USB key with BIOS on it as per this KB:
www.dell.com/.../bios-recovery-options-on-a-dell-pc-or-tablet
But none of them works. It's a real shame that normally working product used in a doctor's office suddenly stops working.
