Inspiron 3668, video card limitations?

I think I read this somewhere-- the computer is limited to a 2GB graphics card? I was hoping somebody could clarify what is the most powerful (if there is a limitation) graphics card I can install in the pre-built system considering I have a i7 7700 processor, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 750 Ti.

Thanks, Layton

The video card limitations of the Inspiron 3668 are based on the 240w PSU (power supply unit). Below are the tested/validated Dell OEM video cards =

1MPR3 AMD R9-360, PCIe, 2GB, DVI-I/Display Port/HDMI
24K8H Nvidia GTX 1050, PCIe, 2GB, DVI-D DL/Display Port 1.3 (1.4 Ready)/HDMI 2.0, 75w
8MXMJ Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 TI, PCIe, 2GB, DVI-I/DVI-D/MiniHDMI
J27RG Nvidia GT730, PCIe, 2GB, VGA/DVI-D/HDMI, 30w
8CCF1 Nvidia GT1030, 2GB, DVI-D SL/HDMI, 30w

To use other 3rd party video cards, you would have to ask other users if they have tested 3rd party PSU of higher wattage in this model.

Hi Layton H,

I gave my son an i5 3668 with ZOTAC GTX 1050 mini card yesterday and it seems to be working well. I’ll immediately post any problems.
