Inspiron 530s audio
As per my last posts reffering to the gfx cards, i take it for the fitment of a sound card i need a low pro too? Is the sound processed internally with these machines and would a sep card make much diff? Thanks

Inspiron 530s desktop is shipped with realtek Integrated audio. Realtek ALC888 codec is an 7.1-channel digital audio codec that provides the hardware and software features listed below:
Hardware Features:
You can check the specifications of the card that you are planning to purchase from link the link: http://bit.ly/YhQieg
If you are planning to upgrade the sound card, you would need a low profile PCI or PCIe card. Also you would need to check the availability of the slot in your computer.

Hi inspiron530s,
You need a card with a lot profile backplane, not just the card itself.
As for whether the sound would improve, the answer is probably not. What an external card gets you normally is additional features, inputs/outputs and control.
