Inspiron 660s PC Crashed
I have a Dell Inspiron 660s (at least four years old), which was working as normal as recently as a week ago.
Then the home screen and apps suddenly froze, and after re-booting several times the whole thing has crashed - leading to only a black screen with temporary revolving dots at the bottom of the screen, before going into standby mode.
Is this finally the end of my PC or can it be saved?

The most likely cause is a dead or dying hard drive. To confirm, press F12 a few times at startup, boot to the Dell diagnostics and run an extended test on the hard drive.
