Hi ddkeeper,

Welcome to the community.

Well, it’s important to know what you see on the screen when you press the power button. I would suggest you to try the following steps-

Remove all external peripherals. Press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Once done, power on the system and check in case you get any error message or hear any beeps.

After that, try the following steps to test the hardware-

Turn on the computer and start tapping the F12 key immediately. Choose the option that says “Diagnostics” and hit enter. Note down the error codes that you get.

Let me know of the findings, Glad to be of assistance.

I did all you said, but I do not get the Diagnostic.  All I get "reboot and select proper boot device"

Hi ddkeeper,

Thank you for your reply.

Well, we need to keep hitting the F12 key as soon as the system is turned on until we get the boot menu. The system can boot to the hard drive in the process i case it misses the F12 key so we may need to try the steps multiple times.

Let me know of the findings, Glad to be of assistance.
