Key repeat in BIOS and other screens
I am working on a Dell Inspiron 660 that exhibits a weird key repeat, but ONLY when in the BIOS screen, boot menu's or if I load up certain software like Eurosoft PC Check. This happens regardless of keyboard, and regardless of OS. In fact, it only seems to happen outside of the OS. In Windows 7 and Windows 10 (dual boot) the problem is not evident at all. It only happens in DELL BIOS, boot menu screens, etc.
Whenever I click any key, there is sometimes no response. Other times, it appears the key sticks and will endlessly repeat until another key is pressed, often multiple times before it is recognized.
I reset the BIOS to defaults. Took a while to navigate the menus successfully due to the key repeat issue, but I was able to get it done after dozens of attempts, but this had no effect.

But the PC is not an XPS 13 9343.
Assuming a similar issue, however, I went ahead and updated to the latest BIOS revision, A11 for that model, and the problem persists.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Just curious to know, do you have a wireless keyboard to try and observe. Can you arrange for one to try.
Did we try the keyboard in different USB port ??

There are no key repeat settings for external USB keyboards. The XPS 13 is a laptop where the keyboard controller is on the system motherboard.
