Missing Drivers for Optiplex 3020
Hello, I am a system administrator and I am going through the painful process of hunting down drivers for a manual reimage of a Dell Optiplex 3020. To be brief, the machine needs bare minimum of just about everything, can never go onto the Internet or even the corporate LAN. Can't seem to find the drivers for the following:
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
No Events found!

Those are installed when you install the Intel Chipset Drivers which should have been the very first drivers installed after loading Windows. Without the chipset drivers, other drivers may not install or may not work.
You didn't mention the version of Windows so go here and select the right version of Windows from the list before downloading any drivers:
Several versions of each may be listed so choose the ones with the highest version numbers, depending on whether or not you have a vPro system.
Then install any other drivers from the Support site that you're missing.
And please don't double-post the same problem.
Note the drivers at that link are probably not the right drivers if you actually have a 3020M.

Both of those drivers are INTEL CHIPSET
the PCI Controller is INTEL AMT HECI SOL serial over lan
PCI Simple Communications Controller
this is the intel chipset driver
SM Bus Controller
If the usb ports dont work try using USB 2.0 Ports
if that doesnt works use a dvd to burn the Chipset drivers to a dvd-r recorded at 1X 2X 4X 16X max.
