New Graphics Card (NVIDIA GEforce GT 730) won't boot system

Hello.  I have a Dell xps 8300 i7-2600 with 3.4Ghz processor.  I am trying to upgrade my graphics card to support 3 monitors.  I purchased a NVIDIA GE force GT730 and the system will not boot with that card in place.  Is there something I'm not doing correctly, or is the card incompatible with my system?  The card's requirements are a 300w or greater power supply with a minimum of 20amps on the +12 volt rail, and an Intel Core i7 -3.2 Ghz processor - so it meets or exceeds these parameters.
