Optiplex 390 - All 4 diagnostic lights on

I have two 390's that are showing the same issue - Power on, looks like its running through the initial diagnostics (the diagnostic lights flash in various patterns), hard drive and CD spin up, then everything stops and all four diagnostic numbers light up on the front panel.  Never lights up the monitor at all.  I've looked through the manuals and the list of diagnostic codes doesn't have an entry for all four lights on at once.

I've swapped the power supply with a working one and it did the same thing.  Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Appreciate your efforts in isolating the problem.

Did you try reseating the Memory, HDD and graphics card? If not, can you try?

If none of the combinations works, most likely it could be an issue with the motherboard.

Thank you

I have simlar error, if I have one amd  rx 480 it boots, if I plug into in the second exact card its all black screens. I run the second graphic card on a different psu so its not that. I wanto use all 4 pci slots, but can only get one running. Any help would be gratefull.

iwcarbon--  Always include exact PC model and version of Windows in your posts.

If it's an Optiplex 390, you only have 1 PCI-e x16 slot on the motherboard so you can't run a second PCI-e x16 video card. The other 3 slots are PCI-e x1, which don't support video cards.
