Optiplex 760
Hello,
I'm currently running a Dell Dimension 4600, 32 bit windows xp as a home user.
I have upgraded to a optiplex, which appears to have wireless included. I have yet to use it, but I wanted to gather some facts about graphical use. What graphics card were available for this? the 760 I imagine was on sale for two years or so, as it was late 2007 released, and the one I have got is a refurbish does include windows 7 on the front.
It has windows 7 64 bit professional on it anyway, so I guess it wouldn't of been an early release model as Vista was the system on sale at that time.
Thank you

This is not a late 2007 machine. Windows 7 came out in 2009. Dimension 4600 is from 2002 and AGP DDR1 so its not even remotely similar.
You can only use single slot cards and Only in the Tower and Desktop or SFF models.
The USFF has no slots.

I am well aware of the 4600 UK one was on sale in 2003, as for when that model was on sale I imagine that year, or the year before.
As for this Optiplex running 7, it states that on the front, unless it is just sticker that has been on there. I don't know about that. It was a very cheap system.
It is a 760 wasn't that out in late 2007?

windows 7 Did not exist in 2007
You cannot use a DELL windows 7 Disk to install on this.
Windows 7 for Refurbished computers uses a different COA key structure.

Windows 7 was a follow up a couple of years later to the problematic Vista.
It doesn't matter about reinstallion. I don't need that.
What I'm interested to know is, what graphics card can be used on these particular system? Is there no card for this system?
My XP machine is useful for old gaming since it has a 512mb card, and Blender 3D. How ever Blender should be fine for basic use on the optiplex as well some computer programming. XP can so some python at least on the last release for it.
I upgraded for web/security reasons.

The system was advertised wrong on sale, this is a 780. The processor is 2.80GHZ. That explains the wireless adapter inbuilt. Therefore the Windows 7 sticker.
Not a bad deal for £50.
