Optiplex 790 (early 2011) dont showing image.

hi guys I have a problem with my sister optiplex 790 the problem is that the computer dont show image in the monitor but light in the cpu turns on and you can feel that everything is working btw like 1 week before this problem the computer showed a fan failure and run a diagnostic that showed this: "error code 2000-0511 validation 92045 the processor fan failed to respond correctly." ;my sister told me that she notice that the computer fans suddenly change to max speed just 15 min after turn it on, the next day I decided to clean the fans with air then everything go back to normal until yesterday the computer stopped showing image please help!![:'(]

Hi ajss2595,

When you cleaned the fans, did you clean the fan on the video card? I would verify that your video card fan is actually spinning.

this pc only have 3 fans (the processor fan,power supply and 1 in front of the case)and all work when I turn it on

If your monitor is blank, the normal troubleshooting steps would be to (1) try a different monitor, and (2) try the monitor on a different computer. If you confirm no signal from the Optiplex to any monitor, then you have a bad graphics adapter.

I just did what you told me and nothing, no signal from the optiplex. Do I need to change the graphics adapter or it can be repair?

thanks, I would try to replace the graphic adapter. PD I would try to update here if it works.

Did you try reseating the video card in its slot? Since you cleaned inside, you may have accidentally dislodged the card or a cable...

And you still may have a CPU fan problem, based on the error message in your OP.
